Footage of cancelled Avengers game hits the Internet
1up.com has video footage of an Avengers game that THQ apparently cancelled in the middle of development. The work was being done at the Australian studio that THQ recently closed down, so a finished game will probably never see the light of day. The video is a pre-Alpha build of the game, but it already looks to feature some interesting first person gameplay and art design.
Personally, I hate it when publishers cancel games that seem like they’d be pretty cool, or games that rabid fans want to see (Star Wars: Battlefront 3…), but don’t seem to have a problem releasing junk that no one ever asked for. If the Avengers movie is popular enough, maybe this one will get a second chance.
